Bollywood’s Upcoming Blockbusters: What to Expect in 2024 and 2025

Bollywood fans can look forward to a packed slate of films coming to theaters and OTT platforms in the upcoming months. With genres spanning romance, action, drama, and comedy, the new releases promise something for every moviegoer.

November 2024 Highlights

On November 22, “Dhadak 2” will bring romance back to the big screen. Directed by Shazia Iqbal, the film stars Triptii Dimri and Siddhant Chaturvedi and is expected to be a heartfelt continuation of the 2018 hit.

Also releasing that day is Shoojit Sircar’s “I Want to Talk”, starring Abhishek Bachchan, which explores intense relationships and human complexities. Rounding out November is Anurag Basu’s “Metro… In Dino”, featuring an ensemble cast including Anupam Kher and Sara Ali Khan. This urban drama is set for November 29.

December 2024 Releases

December opens with “Chhava,” an action-packed historical drama directed by Laxman Utekar starring Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna, releasing on December 6. For a lighter note, “Welcome to the Jungle”, a comedy led by Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal, will release on December 20, just before the holiday season. “Alpha”, starring Alia Bhatt in a lead role, debuts on December 25.

Early 2025 Lineup

January 2025 brings “Ikkis”, a biographical film featuring Dharmendra, releasing on Prime Video. January also sees Ajay Devgn in “Azaad,” an action drama directed by Abhishek Kapoor. February 14 marks the release of “Deva”, starring Shahid Kapoor in an intense thriller.
