Even the most passionate supporters of Pakistani cricket could not have predicted that their team would start a match as the favourites during the current Australia tour. However, Pakistan is unquestionably the favourite to win the third ODI in Perth. The series 1-1 followed a nine-wicket victory that tied the series at the Adelaide Oval in the second ODI.
Although Pakistan is the clear favourite after their resounding victory in Adelaide, the departure of several key players from the Australian team gives it even more significance.
Due to the removal of five of their key players from the roster for the final encounter, the Australians are also behind schedule going into the match.
