Nayanthara Criticizes Dhanush Over Copyright Dispute for Netflix Documentary

In a recent press note, South Indian superstar Nayanthara has openly criticized actor Dhanush for not granting the copyrights to portions of their film “Naanum Rowdy Dhaan” for her upcoming Netflix marriage documentary. The actress expressed her disappointment and frustration in a detailed letter, highlighting the challenges she faced due to Dhanush’s refusal.

“A Well-Established Actor”

Nayanthara’s letter begins by addressing Dhanush directly, stating, “I wish you were the half-person, how you portrays yourself in Audio Launches in front of your Innocent Fans.” She further accuses him of fabricating stories and delivering them with punch lines at audio launches, adding, “You may fabricate some fake story & pack it with Punch lines & deliver it in your next Audio Launch too, but God is watching.”

Impact on Netflix Documentary

The actress emphasized the impact of Dhanush’s actions on her documentary, which chronicles her life, love, and marriage. She mentioned that the documentary includes clips from many of her industry well-wishers but sadly does not feature the most special and important film, “Naanum Rowdy Dhaan.” Nayanthara stated, “The release of my Netflix documentary has been much awaited by not just me but so many of my fans and well-wishers.”

A Fight for Survival

Nayanthara also highlighted the struggles she faced as a self-made woman in the industry, contrasting her journey with Dhanush’s. She wrote, “Cinema as we all know is a fight for survival for people like me: a self-made woman with no links in the industry and someone who had to struggle my way to the position I hold today.”
