‘Kanguva’ Was Deliberately Targeted, Says Jyotika On Negative Reviews

South Indian Actress Jyotika has come forward to defend her husband Suriya’s latest film, “Kanguva.” She expressed her disappointment over the negative reviews and criticism the film has received, stating that the movie was deliberately targeted and doesn’t deserve such negativity.

Jyotika praised “Kanguva” as a spectacle in cinema, highlighting the efforts of the entire team. She wrote, “Kanguva is a spectacle in cinema. So proud of you Suriya, for the actor you are and how you dare to dream to take cinema forward”.

She emphasized that the film’s flaws, such as the jarring sound in the first half hour, are part of the experimental nature of Indian cinema.

In her note, Jyotika criticized the media and certain fraternities for their harsh reviews. She questioned why “Kanguva” was singled out for such intense negativity when other big-budget films with similar flaws were not.

“I’m surprised with the negative reviews from media and certain fraternities as it’s not done by them to this high level for the most unintellectual big-budget films I have seen earlier,” she wrote.
