‘Bagheera’ Makes OTT Debut: A New Milestone for Kannada Cinema

“Bagheera”, the much-anticipated Kannada film starring Sriimurali and Rukmini Vasanth, is all set to make its OTT debut on Netflix India tonight at midnight. The film becomes the first Kannada-language film to be available on the platform in its original language.

Box Office Success

Despite facing stiff competition from other major releases, “Bagheera” managed to secure a notable position among audiences during its theatrical run. The film grossed Rs 35 crore at the box office, making it the highest-grossing Kannada film of 2024.

A New Era for Kannada Cinema

Directed by Dr. Suri and written by the acclaimed filmmaker Prashanth Neel, Bagheera follows the life of a man who dons a mask to fight against injustice.

The film, which also features Prakash Raj, Rangayana Raghu, Achyut Kumar, and Garuda Ram in key roles, has already garnered positive reviews from both audiences and critics.

A Milestone Release

The film’s OTT release on Netflix is expected to reach a wider audience, as it will be available in multiple languages, including Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam. The Hindi and Tulu versions of the film are expected to be released soon.
