Allu Arjun’s Telugu multilingual film “Pushpa 2: The Rule” has taken the box office by storm, setting a new benchmark for Indian cinema. Directed by Sukumar, the film raked in a staggering ₹175.1 crore nett on its opening day in India, making it the biggest opener in Indian film history.

Telugu Version Leads the Charge

The Telugu version of “Pushpa 2” led the charge, contributing ₹85 crore nett to the total collection. The film’s massive success in the Telugu-speaking states is a testament to Allu Arjun’s immense popularity and the film’s strong storyline and direction.

Hindi Version Surpasses Expectations

The Hindi version of “Pushpa 2” also performed exceptionally well, bringing in ₹67 crore on its first day. This impressive figure surpasses the opening-day record of Shah Rukh Khan’s “Jawan,” which had previously earned ₹64 crore.

Global Success and Future Prospects

Globally, the total gross collection of “Pushpa 2” is estimated to exceed ₹200 crore, including impressive overseas numbers. The film’s paid premiere shows on December 4 in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Bengaluru contributed ₹10.1 crore to its Day 1 earnings. Trade analysts are already speculating whether “Pushpa 2” could surpass the Day 1 collections of “RRR,” which grossed ₹223 crore globally.
