The fiancée of Colorado Buffaloes star cornerback Travis Hunter, Raina Thorpe, has taken to social media to defend their relationship and fire back at critics.
Thorpe, a social media influencer with a substantial following, has been the target of online harassment and criticism since Hunter’s high-profile transfer to Colorado. Many have questioned the couple’s relationship and made negative comments about Thorpe’s age and influence on Hunter’s decision.
In a recent Instagram post, Thorpe addressed the backlash, writing, “To all the bird-brained individuals who think they know my life better than I do, kindly mind your own business.” She went on to express her love and support for Hunter, emphasizing their strong bond.
“I’m proud of the man he is becoming, both on and off the field,” Thorpe stated. “The love and support we share is unbreakable, and no amount of negativity can change that.”
“People can say what they want, but at the end of the day, we know our truth,” she added. “We’re building a life together, and that’s all that matters”, according to Fox News.
Hunter, a former five-star recruit and top-ranked player in the 2022 class, has faced immense pressure and scrutiny since his decision to transfer to Colorado. His relationship with Thorpe has added another layer of public interest, making them one of the most talked-about couples in college football.
