Smartphone maker, BlackBerry which has been struggling in the market to keep pace with iPhone and Android-powered mobile phones, has recently introduced its Messenger service for third-party platforms.
News24 reported that the messenger on Android and iPhone is an instant hit with over 10 million downloads in 24 hours, one of the best single-day openings for a mobile app.
The executive Vice President of Blackberry, Andrew Bocking said that there is a lot of opportunity for BBM in mobile messaging market.
BlackBerry has also launched its premium smartphone Z30 on Thursday, Oct 25 in India. The top-end product is priced at the lower end matching prices of rivals like Apple Inc,

Z30 has a 5-inch super AMOLED display with a weave-pattern back panel, with a 1.7GHz processor, 2GB RAM and quad-core Adreno GPU.
The phone sports an 8-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front camera. The battery of 2800mAH lasts for about 25 hours. The BlackBerry Z30 is priced at Rs 39,990.
