The eliminator of the IPL 2019 playoffs is all set to be played between Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad on Wednesday, May 8, 2019. The match will be held at the Dr Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Vishakhapatnam. The match will begin at 7:30 PM IST.
The two teams had contested in two really tough matches back during the league stages. Delhi has won the encounter in Hyderabad while the Sunrisers had prevailed in the Capital. Delhi ended the league stages with nine wins to their name while Hyderabad was able to manage only six victories on their road to the playoffs. The team which wins this match will now go on and contest with Chennai Super Kings for a spot in the final. Mumbai Indians had sealed a place in the final by defeated CSK in the first qualifier.

Morris or Keemo: A choice to make
With Kagiso Rabada our of the tournament with an injury, Trent Boult is likely to handle the fast bowling mantle for the Delhi Capitals in this crucial match. Captain Shreyas Iyer may have to pick one between Keemo Paul and Chris Morris. Prithvi Shaw’s form has been a bit of a worry for the Capitals but he is unlikely to lose his place yet. Rest of the side will be the same as the one which played Delhi’s last league match.
Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi to stay back for the playoffs
Manish Pandey has been in good form but the department of Jonny Bairstow and David Warner has left a huge gap in the batting line-up of the Sunrisers Hyderabad. Mohammad Nabi and Rashid Khan’s presence will boost them but it’s actually Khaleel Ahmed’s bowling performance which has given them some hope for a resurgence. Kane Williamson also came back to form in the league match were scored a fantastic unbeaten knock of 70. Shakib Al Hasan is unavailable though as he has travellers to Ireland with the Bangladesh squad.
The Vizag pitch will see a bit of turn from the surface along with some swing with the new ball. It can’t be predicted whether it will be a high-scoring match or not but the shorter boundaries should suggest some sort of relief for the batsmen. There is a very slight chance of rain, so we will witness an entire match of 40 overs on Wednesday.
