The ultimate results are expected to be delayed this time by four to six hours because of the introduction of new Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) counting.
Elections held for 542 seats
The Lok Sabha polls were held in seven stages across the 542 parliamentary constituencies from April 11 to May 19. Roughly 60 crore voters have cast votes in over 10 lakh booths in 29 states and seven union territories.

Exit polls predict massive victory for the NDA:
The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) allies led by Narendra Modi are expecting to retain government at the Centre.
Exit poll has predicted 339-365 Lok Sabha seats for NDA.
The United Progressive Alliance (UPA), on the other hand, may just have to manage with only 77-108 seats.
