Village People’s Controversial Participation
The Village People, famous for their 1978 hit “Y.M.C.A.,” have confirmed their participation in Trump’s inaugural events, including a rally and an inaugural ball.
Despite their longstanding ties to the LGBTQ community, the band’s decision to perform has sparked controversy.
In a statement on their official Facebook page, the band emphasized that music should be performed without regard to politics and expressed their hope that their performance would help bring the country together.
