Korean Actress Kim Sae-ron Found Dead at 24 After Years of Hiding Post-DUI Incident

A popular South Korean actress, Kim Sae-ron, was found dead in her home on Sunday, February 16, 2025. Kim, 24, was discovered by a friend who had plans to meet her, according to Yonhap News Agency.

Rising Star with a Troubled Past

Kim Sae-ron rose to fame at a young age, making her acting debut at just nine years old. She gained widespread recognition for her roles in the 2010 action movie “The Man from Nowhere” and the 2012 thriller “The Neighbor.”

Drunk Driving Incident and Its Aftermath

However, her career took a hit after a high-profile drunk driving incident in May 2022, where she crashed her car into a roadside electrical transformer box. The incident led to public humiliation and legal repercussions, causing her to step back from acting.
