Government’s Commitment to a Drug-Free Punjab
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has set a three-month deadline to make Punjab drug-free. “This is a critical mission for the future of our state,” said CM Mann. “We are committed to taking strict action against drug traffickers and ensuring the safety and well-being of our citizens.” The campaign has received support from various political parties and community leaders.
Impact on Local Communities
The anti-drug campaign has had a significant impact on local communities. “For too long, our neighborhoods have suffered from the scourge of drug abuse,” said a resident of Bathinda. “We are grateful for the government’s efforts to address this issue.” The campaign also includes measures to treat drug addicts as patients rather than criminals, providing them with the necessary medical support and rehabilitation.
