Shrewsbury International School India Welcomes Parents to an Exclusive Campus Tour

Parents of prospective students will get an exclusive preview of the school’s sports, academic, and boarding facilities across its 150-acre campus

As Shrewsbury School UK celebrated its 473rd Foundation Day and the 216th birth anniversary (February 12) of its distinguished alumnus Charles Darwin, the global institution’s inaugural Indian campus in Bhopal will soon welcome parents to visit.

In March and April, prospective parents can tour the 150-acre campus, including its academic and co-curricular facilities and boarding accommodations. These tours are being offered in preparation for the launch of Shrewsbury International School India’s first academic session in August 2025.

“The parents will not only get to interact with the members of the faculty and the admissions team, but also get to explore various facets of our educational ecosystem including purpose-built academic, co-curricular, sports and residential facilities. The facilities are designed to cater to the needs of 600 pupils, ” says Abhishek Mohan Gupta, President – Board of Management, Shrewsbury International School India. He adds that the architecture, landscaping and resources have been designed in keeping with the institution’s global standing.

“Our commitment to an exceptional learning environment is reflected in the capaciousness, ergonomic nuances and well-lit interiors of our buildings. Every classroom has been meticulously positioned to receive ample light, creating a naturally illuminated and conducive space for learning and growth,” he says.

Apart from academic infrastructure, the parents will also tour the performing and visual arts block that includes an indoor theatre, an amphitheater and a 150-seater auditorium. In addition, they will get to see the indoor sports complex, the aquatic centre and the outdoor sports facilities along with the administrative block and the accommodation facilities for students.

Most parents who are keen to explore the boarding facilities for boys and girls will also have a chance to visit shared spaces such as utility rooms and lounge areas.

“We chose Bhopal as the location of the first Shrewsbury campus because of its salubrious climate, green environs and its central location.
