The Retired US citizens who receive the social security payment for their monthly benefit may not receive it on April 9. The retirees must be eligible and meet certain conditions to receive the payment.

The Social Security Administration will pass on more checks to the US, but only the eligible ones will receive it on this specific day.

What are the conditions?

To receive the payment on April 9, the citizens must fulfil all the requirements, which include being a part of Group 2. It is a group of people that share common characteristics like “blind” or “disabled”.

These Retirees collect their benefits on the 2nd Wednesday of the month. If the retired citizens are eligible and meet the requirements to fit into group 2, the chances of collecting their benefit payment increase.

What if you don’t fit into Group 2?

If the citizens are not eligible to fit into group 2, they are likely to receive their payment in the coming weeks, according to which group they belong which means there will be a waiting period. However, there’s no requirement of worrying as the Social Security will clear out the checks each month.

Who is not going to receive the check on April 9?

Group 2 retirees are the only eligible people who will receive their checks on April 9. Group 1 also received payment in the past, there’s a chance of collecting the money on this day. The retirees who will not receive the payment from different groups are Group 1 retirees who are beneficiaries with benefits since before May 1997.

Next comes Group 2 retirees who are Beneficiaries with checks after May 1997 and birthdays between the 11th and the 20th of any month, and finally, Group 3 Retirees who are Citizens with a check from after May 1997 and a birthday between the 21st and 31st of any month.

Therefore, Group 2 retirees are those who have a benefit check from after May 1997 and those who have their birthday between the 1st and 10th day of any month.

How to collect the payment?

To collect the check from the administration, the citizens are required to have “Direct Deposit Activated”. If this method is not activated, it may take more days to receive the payment as this is the fastest way of collection.

The check given as a monthly benefit is directly linked with the work history, and if the citizens are receiving their checks for the first time, then the check sent by the Social Security Administration will remain same for the rest of the year.
