A similar incident took place on Air India’s New York- Delhi flight in 2022, when a passenger urinated on an elder woman. The passengers were also travelling in business class, the incident sparked outrage, questioning the moral ethics of passengers. The person who urinated was banned from flying AI for 30 days. Delhi Police booked the person who was later arrested. Before this incident, the liquor policy was more lenient but AI updated it’s policy and protocols by giving special training to the cabin crew to identify and manage the cases.
After the incident, passengers must know about the code of conduct and rules that must be followed while flying. The incident raises concerns among people who travel.
