
On April 10, 2025, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta addressed the persistent concerns regarding the cleanliness of the Yamuna River. In a public statement, she reassured citizens that extensive efforts are underway to clean and restore the river’s banks.
“The work of cleaning Yamuna is going on. We are desilting the drains; hundreds of officials and large numbers of machines are working on the ground,” Gupta stated. She emphasized that the government is committed to completing these efforts in a time-bound manner.
