‘Krrish 3’ in copyright row after writer files case in court

A petition has been filed in Bombay High Court on Oct 29, 2013 by a writer alleging that the script of Hrithik Roshan-starrer is a copy of his own script.

Hrithik krrish 3

He sought a stay on release till he was paid a compensation of Rs 2 crore. The movie is scheduled for Nov 1, 2013 release worldwide.

Uday Singh Rajput, from Madhya Pradesh has claimed in his petition that he had written a script titled “Krrish-2” as a sequel to “Krrish” and even registered it with the Film Writers Association on July 23, 2008.

Then he met Rakesh Roshan and gave him the script for which he promised to pay in case it is used.

Now Rajput is alleging that Roshan has used the same script giving the title as “Krrish 3” instead of “Krrish 2” and did not even pay him. He further alleged that Rakesh Roshan credited himself as the story writer in media.

Meanwhile producer Rakesh Roshan has filed a caveat in the High Court saying that Uday Singh Rajput should not be granted any relief without hearing him.

Interestingly Rakesh Roshan has stated in his court application that the story was written by Rubin Bhatt with the script being registered on March 3, 2011. A hearing is scheduled for Oct 30 on both the applications.
