
Celebrated Telugu film actor and former BJP legislator Kota Srinivasa Rao passed away early Sunday morning, July 13, at his residence in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, following age-related health complications. His death comes just two days after his 83rd birthday, leaving the industry in mourning.
Born in Kankipadu, Krishna district, Rao began his acting career in 1978 with “Pranam Khareedhu”. Over four decades, he starred in over 750 films spanning Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi.
Known for his razor-sharp dialogue delivery and scene-stealing versatility, he earned accolades, including the Padma Shri (2015) and nine Nandi Awards.
