Video: Sreeleela, Kireeti, and Shiva Rajkumar Recreate Viral Vayyari Hook Step

Shiva Rajkumar Joins Sreeleela for Dance at Junior Pre-Release Event

At the pre-release event of the upcoming Kannada film Junior on July 14, 2025, veteran Kannada actor Shiva Rajkumar stole the spotlight with an impromptu dance performance that left fans and fellow actors stunned.

Held in Bengaluru, the event featured lead stars Kireeti Reddy and Sreeleela recreating the hook step from the film’s song Viral Vayyari — but it was the 63-year-old superstar who truly lit up the stage.

Initially hesitant, Shiva Rajkumar joined the younger actors mid-performance, mimicking Kireeti’s moves with surprising ease.

As the music played on, he continued dancing even after the others had stopped, prompting cheers from the crowd and the event’s anchor. One fan summed up the moment perfectly: “Kannada swag + Viral vibes = Explosion on stage! Shivanna still got the moves.”

Another admirer wrote, “Wow. Shivarajkumar is evergreen Hero,” while a third added, “Shiva Rajkumar was always a great dancer, love you sir!” The energy and enthusiasm he brought to the stage were especially moving given his recent health journey.

Just months ago, Shiva Rajkumar underwent surgery in the US to remove a cancerous bladder. Despite undergoing chemotherapy, he completed shooting for his film 45 before traveling abroad for treatment. Now cancer-free, his return to public events — and to dancing — has been met with overwhelming support.

The actor’s appearance at the Junior event wasn’t just about dance. He praised debutant Kireeti Reddy, saying, “I’ve known Kireeti since his childhood, he’s a promising talent.” He also complimented Sreeleela’s performance, calling her “an exceptional dancer,” and expressed admiration for Genelia D’Souza, who plays a key role in the film: “Genelia is a wonderful human being. She has done a great job in the movie.”

Directed by Radha Krishna, Junior is set to release on July 18 in multiple languages. With Shiva Rajkumar’s endorsement and a viral moment already making waves, the film’s buzz is only growing stronger.
