Pokémon GO’s beloved Adventure Week is officially back! From Tuesday, July 29, at 10:00 a.m. to Sunday, August 3 at 8:00 p.m. local time, Trainers around the world are invited to step outside, explore their surroundings, and catch newly released Pokémon while earning special in-game bonuses.
The event’s spotlight debut is Toedscool, the Woodear Pokémon, along with its evolution, Toedscruel. Both are making their first appearance in the game, and Toedscrool can be evolved with 50 Toedscool Candies. Players may also encounter a Shiny Wiglett for the first time—if luck is on their side.
Adventure Week introduces location-based wild encounters that vary depending on where players go. In cities, Pokémon like Snubbull, Elgyem, and Espurr may appear more often.
Forests and fields feature Skwovet, Smoliv, and Tadbulb, while mountain areas bring encounters with Gligar, Hippopotas, and Rufflet. Trainers near water can expect spawns of Inkay, Mareanie, and Sandygast, among others.

To make the week more exciting, event bonuses include double XP for catching Pokémon and extended Incense duration—each one lasts 2 hours during the event.
Players can complete special Field Research tasks to earn Stardust, Rare Candy, and extra Pokémon encounters. There’s also Timed Research available in two formats:
- A free version, which offers Incense, Rare Candy, and bonus Pokémon
- A paid version, priced at $1.99, featuring three Lucky Eggs and exclusive Pokémon such as Beldum, Sandygast, and Fidough
Tickets for the paid version can be purchased or gifted to friends, but must be activated before the event ends on August 3 at 8:00 p.m. local time.
For trainers visiting the Pokémon GO Web Store, the Ultra Ticket Box is available for $1.99, including access to the paid Timed Research and a bonus set of three Max Potions—a limited-time offer with one purchase allowed per account.
