Bollywood actress Tanushree Dutta, who sparked the #MeToo movement in India back in 2018, posted an emotional video on Instagram claiming she is being harassed in her own house.
The video, which shows her breaking down in tears, has quickly gone viral and sparked concern among fans and media circles.
In her caption, Tanushree wrote: “I’m sick and tired of this harassment! It’s been going on since 2018. I called the police today. Please someone help me.”
In the video, she can be heard saying she has faced continuous harassment over the last 4 to 5 years, and that she recently called the police. Officers advised her to visit the station to file a formal complaint, which she plans to do soon.

Tanushree also described how she’s become physically and emotionally drained:
She said she suffers from chronic fatigue syndrome brought on by constant stress and anxiety, and is no longer able to work properly. Her house has reportedly become messy because she cannot hire domestic help—claiming that some maids sent to her home were planted and engaged in theft.
In a second video post, she shared audio of banging noises outside her home, which she says has been happening almost daily since 2020.
She described how these disturbances affect her mental health, and how she copes by wearing headphones and listening to Hindu mantras.

Netizens reacted with messages of support, with many urging her to file a police complaint and seek legal protection.
Tanushree hinted that more details will be revealed when she formally submits her FIR (First Information Report) to the authorities.
