In the wake of one of India’s most disturbing deepfake scandals, Assamese influencer Archita Phukan, known online as Babydoll Archi, has broken her silence, not with a denial, but with a cryptic Instagram story that has only deepened the mystery surrounding her identity.
“I haven’t confirmed anything. And I’m not here to deny it either. Some paths are private. Some moves are strategic. And some stories are best told in chapters — not captions,” she wrote.
The post comes days after her ex-boyfriend, Pritam Bora, was arrested for allegedly creating and selling AI-generated explicit content using Archita’s likeness.
Police say Bora used tools like Midjourney and OpenArt AI to fabricate images and videos, including one featuring adult film star Kendra Lust, earning over ₹10 lakh in the process.
