The campaign, spearheaded by the National Viral Hepatitis Control Program (NVHCP) under the National Health Mission, emphasizes the importance of understanding how Hepatitis C spreads and how simple precautions can curb its transmission. The initiative aligns with India’s goal to eliminate Hepatitis C by 2030.

Key Transmission Modes Highlighted:
- Unsafe Injections: Reusing needles and syringes poses a major risk.
- Sharing of Needles: Especially among individuals who inject drugs.
- Personal Use Items: Razors, blades, nail clippers, and toothbrushes can carry infected blood.
- Tattoo & Piercing Equipment: Infected needles and ink used for body art can transmit the virus.
- Unsafe Sexual Practices: Both heterosexual and homosexual unprotected sex.
- Infected Blood Products: Transfusions and dialysis procedures involving contaminated blood.
The campaign’s visual materials, released across digital and print platforms, reinforce the message: “Know for No Hep C”, encouraging informed choices and safe practices.
