Archita Phukan Instagram Poll Leads to ₹75,000 For Animal Welfare & Abused Children

Archita Phukan Donates ₹75K for Animal Welfare & Abused Children

Assam, India: Social media influencer Archita Phukan, popularly known as Babydoll Archi, made headlines this week after donating ₹75,000 to two impactful causes—animal welfare and child protection in red-light areas. The donation was made following an Instagram poll where over 45,000 followers voted on which causes should receive support.

Phukan contributed ₹45,000 to the India Animal Foundation (IAF) and ₹30,000 to Social Activities Integration (SAI), an NGO working to rescue and rehabilitate children exposed to abuse in red-light districts.

She shared screenshots of the donation receipts on her Instagram Stories, writing, “As per the voting results, the donations have been successfully processed. It’s your contribution. Cheers.”

Instagram Poll Sparks Philanthropic Action

In a unique move, Phukan allowed her followers to choose the donation recipients via a poll. The options included Health, Elderly, Animal Welfare, and Children. With 35% voting for children and 33% for animal welfare, she honored both causes. This democratic approach not only engaged her audience but also showcased her commitment to transparency and social responsibility.

A Survivor’s Mission to Give Back

Archita’s support for vulnerable children stems from her own harrowing past. According to multiple reports, she survived six years in forced prostitution and paid ₹25 lakh to escape. Since then, she has helped rescue eight other women and continues to advocate for survivors, reports MSN.

Archita Phukan Deepfake Scandal Exposes AI Misuse

Archita Phukan became the victim of one of India’s most shocking deepfake scams. Her ex-boyfriend, Pratim Bora, allegedly used advanced AI tools like Midjourney and OpenAI to morph a single image of Archita into explicit videos and photos, falsely portraying her as part of the adult entertainment industry.

The fabricated content, including a viral image with adult star Kendra Lust, was widely circulated across social media platforms, leading to public outrage and reputational damage. Bora reportedly earned over ₹10 lakh by selling these AI-generated visuals online.

Following a formal complaint filed by Archita on July 12, 2025, the Dibrugarh Police arrested Bora and charged him under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Information Technology Act.

Cyber experts now warn that India’s current laws are insufficient to combat such digital impersonation, urging swift legislative reforms to address the growing threat of AI-driven identity abuse.
