There are many other people who are great achievers. Perhaps you (the state government) could have considered other options as well. I think they could have chosen someone else…”
The remarks come amid ongoing debates around cultural representation and religious symbolism in Karnataka’s public events. Kumarswamy referenced Thayi Bhuvaneshwari, a revered figure in Kannada tradition, suggesting that her concerns should have been factored into the selection process.
