New Delhi – August 30, 2025: In a spirited move aimed at India’s evolving urban palate, Uppal Brewers & Distillers (UBD) has unveiled Madhvan, a premium whisky that fuses Indian grain spirits with Scotch malt whisky, marking the company’s second launch in just eight months.

Bottled at 42.8% ABV, Madhvan is positioned as a cultural and craft-forward offering, with its name derived from Sanskrit—meaning “nectar of the forest.” The blend is currently available in Delhi and Punjab, retailing at ₹990 for a 750 ml bottle, with plans to expand nationwide by year-end.

Branding with Bite

Madhvan’s packaging features tiger motifs and neon accents, designed to resonate with style-conscious millennials. The brand’s digital campaign, titled “Dahaad Iraado Ki” (Roar of Unshakeable Will), reinforces themes of ambition and individuality.

 Crafted for Complexity

Master Blender Prabhat Barik has curated a flavor profile that opens with ripe pear, tropical fruit, and soft florals, followed by toffee, honey, and vanilla, and finishes with subtle oak and lingering floral warmth.

 Premium Ambitions

UBD co-owner Kanhav Uppal emphasized the company’s vision to elevate Indian spirits globally:

“Madhvan builds on the strong response to Soorahi and expands our presence in India’s fastest-growing alco-bev category. We’re confident it will redefine what Indian-made can stand for.”

With India’s alcohol industry valued at $62 billion, and premium whisky segments projected to grow 8–10% in FY 2026, Madhvan enters a market ripe for innovation.

Production is handled at UBD’s contract facility in Derabassi, Punjab, and the brand will be distributed through premium retail outlets, bars, and restaurants in launch regions.
