A one-day National Workshop on the e-SAKSHI portal of the Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS) was held on 2nd September 2025 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, organized by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI).

The workshop was tailored for the personal staff of Members of Parliament, aiming to familiarize them with the features and benefits of the e-SAKSHI web portal and mobile app, which together offer a fully integrated digital platform for recommending, monitoring, and tracking MPLADS projects.

Inaugurating the event, Dr. Saurabh Garg, Secretary, MoSPI, highlighted the portal’s role in enhancing transparency and citizen participation. He emphasized the new functionality allowing citizens to suggest developmental works and called for greater convergence with other central schemes to amplify impact.

Ms. Puja Singh Mandol, Additional Secretary, MoSPI, stressed the importance of timely execution and fund utilization. She also introduced the ex-MP module, which ensures continuity by allowing upload of offline recommendations made after April 1, 2023.

The workshop saw participation from over 800 staff members from across the country. A live demonstration of the portal and app was followed by a technical session and Q&A, reinforcing MoSPI’s.
