
Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh – Sept 24, 2025: Celebrity hairstylist Jawed Habib, his son Anas Habib, and three associates have been booked by Uttar Pradesh Police in connection with a massive cryptocurrency fraud.
The accused allegedly duped over 150 investors by promising unrealistic returns of 50–75% through a company named Follicile Global Company (FLC).
The Pitch: Bitcoin, Binance, and Big Promises
According to police reports, Habib and his team organized promotional events at Royal Palace Banquet Hall in Sambhal during 2023, where they pitched FLC as a high-yield crypto investment platform.
Attendees were urged to invest in Bitcoin and Binance Coin (BNB), with promises of exponential profits within a year.

Funds were allegedly transferred to company accounts controlled by the accused, including one Saiful, who was introduced as FLC’s director.
When investors demanded returns, the company abruptly shut down and the accused reportedly fled.
FIR Filed, Investigation Underway
The fraud came to light after multiple complaints were filed at Raisatti Police Station. Superintendent of Police KK Bishnoi confirmed that a case has been registered under serious sections of fraud. Additional SP Alok Bhati has been assigned to lead the investigation.
“They collected lakhs of rupees under the pretense of crypto training and investment returns. No payouts were made, and the company ceased operations,” said SP Bishnoi.
