Hollywood actress Milla Jovovich, best known for her roles in “The Fifth Element” and the “Resident Evil” series, recently shared a deeply personal moment from her career.
While filming the 2010 movie “Stone,” she broke down crying after shooting an intense intimate scene with legendary actor Robert De Niro.
Jovovich played Lucetta, a bold and manipulative woman who tries to influence a parole officer to help her husband.
The role pushed her to emotional limits, especially during scenes that involved nudity and intimacy.
“It’s hard,” she said in an interview. “You feel violated when you have to be so close with someone you barely know.”
“I Came Home Crying,” Says Jovovich
After filming the scene, Jovovich said she felt overwhelmed and leaned on her husband, director Paul W.S. Anderson, for support. “My poor husband had to deal with that,” she added. At the time, she was riding high in Hollywood with the release of “Resident Evil: Afterlife,” but behind the scenes, the emotional toll was real.
“Stone,” which also starred Edward Norton and Frances Conroy, didn’t perform well at the box office, but for Jovovich, it remains one of her most challenging roles. Her honesty sheds light on the emotional cost actors sometimes face when taking on difficult characters.
