
In a brazen daylight robbery that stunned shoppers and staff, nearly 25 masked suspects stormed Heller Jewelers at City Center Bishop Ranch, stealing an estimated $1 million worth of merchandise.
The incident, described by police as a “takeover-style armed robbery,” occurred around 1:50 PM on Monday.
According to the San Ramon Police Department, the suspects arrived in six vehicles, parking just 100 feet from the store entrance in the valet area. Armed with crowbars, pickaxes, and at least three firearms, they smashed display cases and grabbed high-value jewelry.
One suspect reportedly fired multiple rounds to break open the glass door and escape after the store’s security system locked them inside.

Arrests Made Across Oakland and Dublin
Thanks to coordinated efforts between San Ramon PD, Oakland Police, and Alameda County deputies, seven suspects have been arrested so far.
- Three adults and one juvenile were detained in Oakland
- Three additional adults were arrested at the Dublin BART station
All suspects are from Oakland, ranging in age from 17 to 31, and police believe they may be linked to similar crimes across the Bay Area.
Video Evidence & Ongoing Investigation
Dramatic video footage captured the chaos inside the store, showing suspects smashing cases and scrambling to escape. A drone funded by a retail theft grant helped track the suspects’ vehicles as they fled the scene.
