
In a shocking broad-daylight robbery, two bike-borne assailants allegedly held a man at gunpoint and escaped with jewellery worth nearly ₹1 crore near Bharat Mandapam, one of the capital’s high-security zones.
The victim, Shivam Kumar Yadav (28), and his associate Raghav (55) were transporting a consignment of gold and silver from Chandni Chowk to Bhogal on a scooter when they were intercepted near Bhairon Mandir Marg.
The robbers, riding an Apache motorcycle, snatched two bags—one containing 500 grams of gold and the other 35 kilograms of silver—before fleeing the scene.
Police Launch Manhunt, CCTV Footage Under Review
Officers from Tilak Marg Police Station arrived promptly and began scanning CCTV footage from surrounding areas to trace the suspects’ route. The victims were unable to record the full registration number of the getaway bike, complicating the investigation.
