Jasprit Bumrah will not play the Asia Cup Super 4 match against Sri Lanka on September 26, 2025. The match will be played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai, from 8 PM onwards.

India won the match via a Super over after the match was tied.

While India has qualified to play in the finals of the Asia Cup 2025 against Pakistan on Sunday, Sri Lanka, even though it qualified for the super four, couldn’t make it through. SL lost to Bangladesh in the Super 4 by a thin margin after playing well in the league games.

India beat Pakistan twice in this tournament and remained unbeaten with four convincing wins. So this match is going to be a dead rubber- Both teams are expected to experiment with their bench players.  With Jasprit Bumrah resting, it means some match time for Harshit Rana. There could be some match time for Jitesh Sharma as well.

Dubai Pitch condition

Both teams will face slow and low-pitch conditions, which are common here. Early in the innings, the new ball will come nicely onto the bat, making it easier to play attacking shots.

However, after the first 10 overs, the pitch will slow down, and batters may struggle to time the ball or find gaps. To score quickly, players often go for risky big shots—leading to more sixes but also more chances for bowlers to take wickets.

Head-to-head record: India has won 22 T20 matches against Sri Lanka, while Sri Lanka has won 9.
