District Commissioner Dr. Anand K., along with Indi MLA Yashavantrayagouda Patil and senior officials, visited the site to assess the situation. Rescue teams have been deployed, and residents living near the riverbanks have been advised to relocate temporarily.

In a tweet posted earlier today, Karnataka Minister M.B. Patil confirmed the situation and reassured the public:

“Khedagi Math in Indi taluk is surrounded by Bhima River floodwaters. The district administration has taken all necessary precautions to protect people and animals. Villagers are urged to stay calm and avoid riverbanks.”

Photos shared in the tweet show officials inspecting the flood-affected area, with water levels dangerously close to residential zones. The administration emphasized that while the situation is serious, it is being closely monitored and remains under control.
