Optimus v3 Robot: Elon Musk Says Tesla’s Humanoid Will Be “Biggest Product Ever”
Tesla CEO Elon Musk has once again stirred global tech circles by revealing new details about the upcoming Optimus v3 robot. In a recent video shared across social media and covered by Teslarati and GearMusk, Musk stated, “We’re finalizing the design of Optimus v3.
It will have essentially the manual dexterity of a human, a very complex hand, and an AI mind that can navigate and comprehend reality.” He added, “Optimus will be the biggest product ever.”
This bold claim comes as Tesla ramps up its robotics division, aiming to mass-produce humanoid robots that could revolutionize industries from manufacturing to elder care.
Optimus v3 Robot Design — Human Dexterity Meets AI Intelligence
Unlike previous prototypes, the Optimus v3 robot will feature a redesigned hand capable of intricate movements, mimicking human dexterity. According to leaked internal reports and YouTube tech breakdowns, Tesla is testing over 10,000 units internally, with production targets reaching 100,000 robots per month by 2026.

The robot will also integrate Tesla’s Grok AI, enabling it to understand and interact with real-world environments. This leap in cognitive capability positions Optimus v3 as more than a mechanical assistant — it’s a potential co-worker, caregiver, and even companion.
Why Optimus v3 Could Eclipse Tesla’s EV Business
Musk’s vision for the Optimus v3 robot goes beyond novelty. He believes humanoid robots could eventually drive an economy “10 times the size of the current global economy,” and usher in “universal high income.” With Tesla’s aggressive roadmap and AI-first approach, Optimus could become a cornerstone of future labor markets.
"Optimus could be like a 24 hour day nurse or helper to someone who needs physical help. They will also be used in situations where it's their work is very dangerous, so or where there's a lot of repetitive tasks."

Meanwhile, critics like Mark Cuban argue that function-first robots — not humanoid forms — will dominate. Cuban told Prof G Markets, “It might look like a spider or whatever they come up with… it’s going to know what socks go together and how long to wash.”
