Actress Rashmika Mandanna has once again proven that spontaneity can lead to cinematic magic. In a heartfelt Instagram post, she revealed the story behind a surprise song shoot for her upcoming film “Thamma”, co-starring Ayushmann Khurrana.
The team had been filming at a breathtaking location for nearly 10–12 days, when the producers and director had a sudden idea: “Why don’t we shoot a song here?”
Rashmika’s response? “Whyyyy notttttt!” And within just 3–4 days, the crew pulled off a full-scale musical number — choreography, costumes, lighting, and all.
Meet Tadaka and Alok — Thamma’s Scene-Stealing Duo
In the same post, Rashmika introduced two new characters from the film: Tadaka and Alok, who are now fan favorites even before the song’s official release.
She praised the entire crew, saying, “This song was possible Cz of your hard work.. ❤️” and gave a massive shoutout to dancers, costume designers, set builders, and production teams.
The song, titled “Tum Mere Na Huye”, is already generating buzz online, with fans calling it “unexpectedly magical” and “a visual treat.”

Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, “Thamma” is the latest addition to Maddock Films’ horror-comedy universe, following hits like “Stree”, “Bhediya”, and “Munjya.”
This time, the franchise dives into a vampire romance, with Ayushmann Khurrana playing Alok — a conflicted vampire — and Rashmika as Tadaka, a mythical force with a modern twist.
The film is slated for a Diwali release on October 21, and its trailer has already crossed 12 million views in under 72 hours.
