
Kolkata: The West Bengal School Service Commission (WBSSC) has officially announced the results of the State Level Selection Test (SLST) 2025, conducted for teaching positions across secondary and higher secondary schools in West Bengal.
The exams were held on September 7 for Class 9–10 and September 14 for Class 11–12.
Results went live on November 7, but many candidates faced delays due to a technical glitch on the commission’s secondary portal.
The primary result portal wbssc.gov.in, remained accessible, while the secondary site westbengalssc.com crashed under heavy traffic.
WBSSC officials confirmed that the site is under maintenance and will be restored soon.
How to Check Your Scorecard
Candidates should log in using their application number and date of birth to download the WBSSC SLST 2025 scorecard once the site is stable.
The scorecard includes name, roll number, marks, rank, and qualifying status.
Next Steps
WBSSC is expected to release the cut-off marks and merit list shortly. Shortlisted candidates will be notified about the document verification and interview schedule in the coming weeks.
Students appeared
A total of 2,29,606 candidates appeared for the WBSSC SLST 2025 examination for Classes XI and XII.
This figure comes from the higher secondary level recruitment phase, where 2,46,543 candidates had registered, but only 2,29,606 actually appeared for the written test.
The exam was conducted on September 14, 2025, across 478 centers in 35 subjects, competing for 12,514 vacancies at the higher secondary level.
The total number of candidates for the secondary level (Classes IX–X) has not yet been officially disclosed, but the overall recruitment drive aims to fill 35,726 Assistant Teacher posts across West Bengal government-aided schools
