Faridabad police seized a red Ford EcoSport DL 10 CK 0458 suspected to be linked to prime suspect Dr Umar Un Nabi in the ongoing Delhi blast case.
The vehicle was discovered parked near Khandawali village in Haryana, intensifying the investigation into one of the most high-profile terror cases of the year.
Faridabad Police Seize Red EcoSport
The Delhi Police had earlier issued an alert for the red EcoSport after investigators revealed that suspects involved in the blast were using multiple vehicles, including a Hyundai i20.
Acting on intelligence inputs, Faridabad police tracked the car and secured it during a late-night operation.
Officials confirmed that the SUV is registered under Dr Umar Un Nabi, who has been under surveillance for alleged links to extremist groups. Reports suggest that at least five special teams were deployed to trace the vehicle across Haryana and Delhi.
Delhi Blast Case Investigation
The Delhi blast, which shook the capital earlier this month, left several injured and raised concerns about security lapses.
Investigators have collected more than 40 forensic samples from the blast site, with ammonium nitrate suspected to be one of the explosives used.
Meanwhile, the seizure of the EcoSport is expected to provide crucial leads, as authorities believe the car may have been used for reconnaissance or transport of materials linked to the attack.
National Agencies Join Probe
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is likely to visit Al-Falah Medical College in Faridabad’s Dhouj as part of its probe, given Dr Umar’s reported connections there.

According to Moneycontrol News, DNA samples of Umar’s family members have been collected to match with remains found at the blast site.
This step underscores the seriousness of the investigation, which now spans multiple states and involves coordination between Delhi Police, Haryana Police, and national agencies.
Authorities have also alerted border checkpoints and police posts across Delhi-NCR to remain vigilant, as the case continues to unfold.
The seizure of the red EcoSport marks a pivotal moment in the investigation, offering new evidence that could help dismantle the network behind the Delhi blast.
