Hyderabad, November 20: Union Minister Pralhad Joshi held a high-level meeting in Hyderabad with Telangana Chief Minister Anumula Revanth Reddy and Food Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy to discuss measures aimed at strengthening the state’s paddy procurement systems.

During the meeting, the leaders engaged in detailed deliberations on the possible extension of Custom Milled Rice (CMR) delivery timelines, a move expected to ease logistical pressures and ensure smoother operations across procurement centers.

Joshi emphasized that diversification of crops is critical to addressing ongoing storage and logistics challenges in Telangana. He assured that the Central government will extend full support to the state in safeguarding farmers’ interests and ensuring uninterrupted procurement processes.
