Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and chose to bowl first in the third T20 against South Africa, being played at Dharamsala on December 14, 2025. Match start time is 7:00 PM IST.
Score: SA struggling at 8/3 in 4 overs.
Suryakumar Yadav said after winning the toss, “We’re going to bowl first. It’s been a good wicket all weekend, and I don’t think it’ll change much, but there is a little bit of dew already and we feel it might get heavier later on.
“So, we’re happy to bowl first. It’s a wonderful place, wonderful people, and a fantastic ground. Hopefully, when we bat and bowl, we can give everyone some good entertainment.”
Team news
The Indian skipper is hoping the dew later in the evening will help batting. India made two changes: Axar Patel is out sick and Jasprit Bumrah is unavailable due to personal reasons. Harshit Rana and Kuldeep Yadav came into the side.
India (Playing XI): Abhishek Sharma, Shubman Gill, Suryakumar Yadav(c), Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya, Shivam Dube, Jitesh Sharma(w), Harshit Rana, Arshdeep Singh, Kuldeep Yadav and Varun Chakaravarthy.
South Africa captain Aiden Markram said the team is excited to play in the cold conditions of Dharamsala and confirmed three changes to their lineup.

Series So Far
India started strong with a win in Cuttack, but South Africa hit back in New Chandigarh to level the series 1-1.
The pitches have presented different challenges — one helped bowlers, while the other favored stroke-makers.
Dharamsala, known for high scores in IPL matches, adds mystery as it hosts its first men’s international game in over two years.
The Dharamsala stadium has not hosted a men’s international match for more than two years, the last being in February 2022.
In that period, New Zealand came close to chasing Australia’s 388 in an ODI here. During IPL games at this venue, teams have regularly scored above 180 runs, showing how batting-friendly the ground can be.
