Hubballi Airport reached a new milestone in traveler convenience as the Airport Director inaugurated the dedicated “May I Help You” (MIHY) services to streamline passenger movement.

This specialized desk provides a central point for all travel-related inquiries, ensuring that every visitor finds their way through the terminal with ease. The official launch ceremony took place at the terminal building on February 7, 2026.

Enhancing the Passenger Journey at Hubballi Terminal

The MIHY desks serve as dedicated passenger facilitation hubs, strategically placed in both the arrival and departure halls to catch travelers at every stage of their trip. Staff members at these counters provide instant assistance with airport directions, flight information, and lost and found inquiries.

Beyond simple navigation, the service assists people with special needs, ensuring that senior citizens and passengers with reduced mobility receive the care they require.

According to Airports Authority of India (AAI), these desks are part of a national effort to standardize high-quality customer service across all regional airports. By providing 24/7 support, Hubballi Airport aims to eliminate the stress of modern air travel.

The desk operators work in close coordination with airline staff and security personnel to resolve issues ranging from baggage delays to ticketing queries in real-time.

VIP Facilitation and Specialized Lounge Services

A unique aspect of the MIHY initiative involves the professional management of VIP movements through the terminal. These specialized personnel facilitate high-profile guests from the moment they enter the building until they exit the gate, with a specific focus on the Reserved Lounge area.

This “entry-to-exit” service includes preparing necessary entry passes and coordinating with security teams to ensure a secure and private transition for authorized officials.

Airport Director Rupesh Kumar Sripad highlighted that the introduction of these 10+ trained personnel will significantly improve the overall ranking of Hubballi in the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) surveys.

By turning a simple helpdesk into a comprehensive support system, the airport reinforces its commitment to hospitality and technical efficiency. Travelers can now find these desks prominently branded and easily accessible near the main terminal entrances.
