HUBBALLI: In a thoughtful initiative to enhance the passenger experience, office bearers of the Rotary Club of Hubballi, led by Rita Handa, visited the Hubballi Airport to expand the collection at the ‘Flybrary’.
The Flybrary, which was recently inaugurated in the Security Hold Area (SHA) of the airport, is a collaborative effort between the Hubballi Airport authorities and the Rotary Club. The project aims to promote a culture of reading by providing travelers with access to a variety of books while they wait for their flights.
By adding a fresh selection of books, the Rotary Club continues to ensure that “waiting time is converted into quality time” for passengers. This unique library has been receiving positive feedback from travelers, turning the often-stressful pre-boarding period into an opportunity for learning and relaxation.
The Rotary Club of Hubballi, featuring dedicated women leaders like Rita Handa, is actively involved in community-driven initiatives that prioritize public service and passenger comfort. A standout example of their work is the operation of the ‘Flybrary’ in the Security Hold Area (SHA) of Hubballi Airport.
By consistently adding new books to this library, the club successfully converts traveler waiting time into “quality time”. Their efforts focus on promoting a culture of reading and enhancing the overall travel experience for the local community.
