Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy traveled to the holy site to participate in the 13th Pattabhisheka Mahotsava of the current pontiff, Sri Sri Sri Dr. Nirmalanandanatha Mahaswamiji. Spiritual fervor gripped the sacred hills of Sri Kshetra Adichunchanagiri as devotees and leaders gathered to mark a milestone in the Math’s history.
This anniversary celebrates over a decade of the Swamiji’s leadership, during which he has expanded the Math’s reach in education, healthcare, and social welfare across Karnataka.
The Minister shared his experience of seeking divine blessings, reflecting the deep-rooted connection between the state’s leadership and its spiritual foundations. The grand celebration reached its peak on February 20, 2026.
Celebrating 13 Years of Spiritual and Social Leadership
The Pattabhisheka Mahotsava commemorates the day Dr. Nirmalanandanatha Swamiji took the mantle as the 72nd head of the ancient Adichunchanagiri Mahasamsthana Math. Under his guidance, the institution has become a powerhouse of rural development, managing hundreds of educational institutions that serve thousands of students from underprivileged backgrounds.
During the visit, Minister Kumaraswamy offered “Bhakti Purvaka Namana” (devotional salutations) to the seer, acknowledging the Swamiji’s role in guiding the community toward moral and professional growth. According to Deccan Herald, the Math remains a vital pillar of the Vokkaliga community and a symbol of secular service to all of humanity.
A recent social media post from the Union Minister featured photos of the ceremony—capturing the solemnity and the massive crowd gathered at the temple complex.
