The Hubballi Bicycle Club recently tested the grit of local endurance athletes with the Benne Dosa 300 BRM. Fifteen determined riders gathered at Oaks 2.0 for the early morning flag-off, embarking on a grueling journey that demanded mental and physical toughness. While 12 riders successfully crossed the finish line, the relentless spirit of the entire group defined the day. The event officially concluded with a high success rate on February 22, 2026.

Testing Limits on the Road to Ranebennur

Weather conditions turned the ride into a true test of character. Extreme heat began to bake the route near Bankapur and persisted until the riders turned back from Ranebennur. Steady headwinds added another layer of difficulty, forcing participants to push their limits against the elements. Three riders had to withdraw due to mechanical issues and health concerns, yet their effort earned massive respect from the cycling community.

According to the Audax India event records, buffer times often reflect the elite level of preparation. Anil Hosmani, Rammappa Pujar, and Sadanand Manur delivered an incredible performance, finishing with a massive 3.5-hour buffer. This efficiency highlights the growing caliber of long-distance cycling in North Karnataka. The leadership of Shettappa Pirangi and Prasanna Joshi ensured the event maintained international BRM standards.

Building Momentum for the Kanyakumari 1000 BRM

Ace swimmer Anand Singh Mokashi flagged off the event, providing the initial spark of motivation for the participants. For many, this 300km loop served as a critical preparation phase for the upcoming Kanyakumari 1000 BRM scheduled for April. Control point management by Vinay Mulgund and support from volunteers like Shivanand kept the riders fueled and focused. The finish line, managed by Siddalingappa Kuballi and Karthik Irappannavar, provided a smooth end to a long day in the saddle.
