An impactful awareness program was held at Vision Fly Training Institute, Hosur, Hubballi, on March 4, 2026. Organized by Shreegandha Foundation in collaboration with the Hubballi–Dharwad Police Commissionerate, the event focused on educating students about their legal responsibilities and social values.
We saw strong participation. More than 200 students attended the session. Officers and experts spoke on critical topics, including the POCSO Act, NDPS Act, traffic rules, and cybersecurity. The goal was clear: empower youth with knowledge to stay safe and responsible.
Our sources confirmed that students interacted actively, asking questions about online fraud, drug abuse, and road safety. Police officials explained how cyber crimes are rising by 15% annually in urban areas. They urged students to report suspicious activity immediately.
Traffic awareness was another highlight. Hubballi–Dharwad Police shared data showing 1,200 accidents reported in the twin cities last year. They stressed the importance of helmets, seat belts, and following signals. “Every life matters,” one officer said. Short. Sharp. Impactful.
On the NDPS Act, speakers warned about the growing threat of narcotics among youth. They explained penalties, including imprisonment up to 10 years for serious offenses. Students were reminded that awareness is the first step to prevention.
Cybersecurity experts demonstrated how phishing scams and fake job offers trap young people. They showed real cases and advised using strong passwords and two-factor authentication. Simple steps. Big protection.
The program ended with a pledge. Students promised to follow rules, respect laws, and spread awareness in their communities. Organizers said more such sessions will be held across Hubli and Dharwad in the coming months.
From legal rights to social values, the awareness drive at Vision Fly Training Institute proved that informed youth can become responsible citizens. A small step today. A safer tomorrow.
