Hubballi’s Jolada Oni is preparing for a massive spiritual surge. The SSK Shri Ambabhavani and Marikamba Panch Trust Committee announced a grand Cradle Ceremony (Thottilu Utsava) for the Goddess this Thursday. We saw the temple priests and committee members finalizing the floral decorations for the 12:00 PM start time on March 26, 2026.
The divine atmosphere will peak with a Maha Mangalarati. Our sources confirmed that immediately following the Cradle Ceremony, the Panch Trust will host a massive Annasantarpana (community feast) for all visiting devotees. Secretary Shri V. N. Dhongadi and the Trust President have issued a public appeal for the community to gather in large numbers to receive the blessings of Goddess Ambabhavani and Marikamba.
SSK community’s cultural identity
This Jolada Oni tradition remains a cornerstone of the SSK community’s cultural identity. We talked to local residents who expect thousands to participate in the procession and the subsequent meal. The committee has coordinated with local authorities to manage the crowd flow and ensuring that the “Mahaprasada” distribution is seamless for every devotee entering the temple premises. It is a day of pure devotion and community unity.
Security and volunteer teams are already on high alert for the Thursday event. The Trust has emphasized that this isn’t just a ritual but a collective prayer for the city’s prosperity. With the cradle ready and the kitchen teams prepped for the feast, Hubballi’s Joola Oni is set to transform into a sea of saffron and devotion.
Divine Schedule at Jolada Oni
The festivities begin exactly at noon with the rhythmic chants accompanying the Goddess’s cradle. Devotees are encouraged to arrive early to secure a place for the Maha Mangalarati, which is considered the most auspicious moment of the day. The Trust Committee members, under the leadership of Shri Dhongadi, will be personally supervising the Annasantarpana to ensure no devotee leaves without receiving the sacred meal.
