Nritya Kala Mandir Pune Celebrates 30 Years with Cultural Performances and Global Guests

Nritya Kala Mandir students performing Bharatanatyam during 30-year celebration

Pune: Nritya Kala Mandir is celebrating a proud milestone — 30 glorious years of dance, dedication, and cultural service. On the occasion of त्रिदशकपूर्ती (Tridashakpoorti), the academy welcomed distinguished guests from the Mauritius Maharashtra Mandal to honor the journey and legacy of classical dance in Pune.

We saw glimpses of the last three major programs shared by Tejashree Adige, the chief of Nritya Kala Mandir, in a heartfelt tweet. Each event showcased the academy’s commitment to nurturing talent and promoting Bharatanatyam across generations.

In January, 65 budding artists, including 15 senior students, performed “Nrityanjali – नृत्य रुपी पुष्प सुमने” with a live Carnatic music orchestra. The event was graced by eminent guests and television celebrities, making it a memorable start to the year.

February brought another highlight as students performed “Shivastuti” during the 51st Annual Function of Bajaj Samaj Seva Kendra (SSK). Nritya Kala Mandir has been associated with SSK for over 20 years, offering Bharatanatyam training to economically challenged students.

In March, the academy’s dancers presented “Ganesh Vandana” at the opening ceremony of the Vishwa Hindu Sammelan in Sector 25, Nigdi. Tejashree Adige led the sammelan as Vice-President, marking a moment of pride and honor for the academy.

Our sources confirmed that each event drew national and international guests, with strong media coverage and enthusiastic audience response. The academy’s outreach continues to grow, blending tradition with modern presentation.

Tejashree expressed deep gratitude to her students, their families, and the Hindu Vishwa Sammelan Committee for their support and recognition. She also thanked the press for covering the academy’s journey and programs.

A related social embed featuring images from these events is expected to be shared on the academy’s official page soon. As the academy steps into its fourth decade, the blessings of Lord Nataraja guide its mission to spread the art of Bharatanatyam across the globe.
