Mc Donald’s to introduce Mighty Wings in U.S.

Mark Brandau at Nation’s Restaurant News reported that the chicken wings are everything that McDonald’s needs to get new customers in stores.

According to Brandau, the menu item did exceptionally well when the company tested it in Atlanta. The item will be launched nationally on September 9.

Scott Hume at Burger Business told Business Insider that with increasingly competitive fast food market, McDonald’s Mighty Wings are a “whole different galaxy” among new items.

Hume told that all burger chains also do nuggets or tenders but Mighty Wings is different because they are bone-in chicken.

While Wendy’s latest offering in the menu is a burger with pretzel bun and cheddar sauce, Burger King’s latest is a burger topped with four french fries.

The McWings is also competition to heavy fast food companies like Chick-Fil-A, Popeye’s and KFC. But the item is not expected to threaten traditional wings chains like Buffalo Wild Wings.

Morgan Stanley analysts said in Buffalo Wild Wings customers won’t be lured by McWings as they want to watch sports and drink beer.
