Karan Johar and Preity Zinta ask media to respect Sussanne and Hrithik Roshan’s privacy

Filmmaker Karan Johar and actress Preity Zinta urged media to respect the privacy of Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Roshan. The couple who were married for 13 years have recently announced their split.

Hrithik Roshan released an official statement on December 13 saying that his wife Sussanne has decided to part ways with him after a relationship of 17 years. The couple had dated for four years and tied the knot on Dec 20, 2000.

When asked to comment on the news at the red carpet of the Colors Golden Petal Awards (GPA), actress and good friend Preity Zinta said that she has just one thing to say to the media.

She asked them not to slander either Hrithik or Sussanne as it is a personal matter of them and media should give them that space. She felt very sad that everybody has their own opinion and are commenting on the issue.

Karan Johar, who was also attending the awards was asked the same question. Karan has been friendly with Hrithik and has worked with him in movies like “Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham” and “Agneepath”.

He refrained from commenting and said that it is too personal to them. He added that he is very uncomfortable talking about anything too personal to close friends on a national platform.

Actor Anil Kapoor who is currently seen in TV series “24” was in attendance at the awards. On the red carpet when asked about the news he felt hopeful about the couple’s re-union in future.
