ಸರಕಾರ ಜನಪರವಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ‘ವಸೂಲಾತಿ’ ಪದ ಇರುತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ

ಸರಕಾರ ಜನಪರವಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ “ವಸೂಲಾತಿ” ಪದ ಇರುತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. “ಪಾವತಿ” ಅಂತ ಇರುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.

ಆದರೆ ಯಾವತ್ತೂ ಯಾವ ಸರಕಾರವೂ ಜನರ ಜೊತೆ ನಿಂತು ಯೋಚಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಮಹಾರಾಜ ಮನಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಿಂದ, ಬ್ರಿಟಿಷ್ ಮನಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಿಂದ ಹೊರಗೆ ಬಂದು ಆಡಳಿತ ಮಾಡಲು ಸರಕಾರೀ ಮನಸ್ಸು ಒಪ್ಪುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

ಈಗ ನೀವು ಕೇಳಬಹುದು “ವಸೂಲಾತಿ” ಅಂತ ಇದ್ದರೆ ಏನು ತಪ್ಪು? ಅದು Collection ಎಂಬುದರ ಕನ್ನಡ ಪದ ತಾನೇ ಅಂತ.
ನಾನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ, “ಪಾವತಿ” ಅಂತಾನೇ ಇರಬೇಕು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅದು Payment ಎಂಬುದರ ಕನ್ನಡ ಪದ.

ಹೆದ್ದಾರಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ವಸೂಲಾತಿಗೆ ನಿಲ್ಲಬಾರದು, ನಾವು ಪಾವತಿಸುವುದನ್ನು ನೀವು ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಬೇಕು.

ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳಿಂದ ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳ ಸರಕಾರ ಇದೆ ಎಂಬ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಉಳಿಸಿಕೊಡಿ.

ಸುಂಕ ಪಾವತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಎಂದು ಬರೆಯಿರಿ.

English Translation

If the governments were people pro, there would be no “reservation” word in the above image. There was a “payoff”.

But never think of any government standing with the people. Because of the Maharaja mentality, the government mindset is not willing to come out of the British mentality.

Now you may ask, what’s wrong with “reservation”? That’s just the Kannada word for Collection.
I say, “pay” should be the same. Because that is the Kannada word for Payment.

You don’t have to stand up for reservations on the highways, you have to collect what we pay for.
